sickness

I got released from the hospital yesterday after being there since Monday with a particularly super stomach virus and the nice number of assorted infections and severe dehydration that resulted. It wasn't too fun. Anyway, I'm not even going to try to catch up on my f-list since the sick thing started last Friday and I wasn't in any kind of mood to get on the internet. If there's anything you guys want me to see, just post it :)

Well, one good thing to come out of this whole ordeal is that I'm no longer needle-phobic. After being given several shots, an IV, and having blood drawn about fifty times I'm quite used to them now, LOL.

My boyfriend has been totally awesome through this whole thing too. I was staying the weekend at his house when I first started getting sick, and he put up with me throwing up all over the place and whining and being a little abusive out of frustration, hehe. He never complained when I kicked him out of his own bed and then proceeded to get sick all over it. Then on Monday when he came back from work and I was all crazy and delirious, he drug my ass to the hospital when I fought him the whole way there 'cause I didn't want to go. It's a good thing he did too, because they said as bad as I was dehydrated, if I would have waited another day I might have been dead. I don't even remember much of the part where I was in the ER, but he said I couldn't tell anybody how to spell my last name or what day it was, and when a nurse asked my weight I said "5'3", lol. Then he visited me every day in the hospital to keep me company even though it was boring as hell. He's a keeper :)

My college roommates are awesome too. My cell phone was dead so I couldn't call them, and I had my sister e-mail them, but all she said was "Kelly in hospital. Feed Fish." **HEADDESK** So my one roommate *somehow* got the number to my room, freaking out 'cause she thought I'd been hit by a bus or something. They couldn't visit me 'cause I was at the hospital back home, but they sent me these ridiculous flowers and a couple of balloons. They're awesome like that ♥ My niece also made me the most adorable card ever. That child has better handwriting than I do.

With all of that free time, I caught up on a lot of Jon & Kate plus 8 episodes. I even watched a couple episodes of that crazy family with 18 kids- the one where the parents when to San Francisco, "the super liberal city," was HILARIOUS. "That's interesting flatware" LOLOLOLOL **dies**

Other than that, the whole week sucked pretty much overall. The last two nights I had to room with this one old lady that was absolutely INSANE. Every time a nurse came in the room she would start yelling "DON'T TAKE MY BLOOD! TELL DEM DOCTORS THEY AINT TAKIN NONE OF MY BLOOD!!!" And then when they had to draw blood multiple times she was like "that's too much! You sellin it ain't you!!! SELLING MY BLOOD!! CONSPIRACCCYYYY!!!!" And she seriously fought everything they tried to do really hardcore. And about five of her family members were there pretty much all through visiting hours. One of her daughters always brought her three year old that she never kept track of, so she was always over on my side trying to play cops and robbers or shoot her nerf gun at me. She was a cute kid, but I was about to tell that lady "Look, I'm sick and in pain and tired as hell, and I didn't come here to babysit your damn kid. WATCH YOUR GODDAMN CHILD YOU LAZY BITCH." I wasn't in that great of a mood last week, LOL.

It's all in the past now, though. I have a few upcoming lab appointments and doctor visits in the next couple of weeks, but none of them should take long. So now I'm distracting myself from all of the catch up work I should be doing by watching Dr. Horrible and wondering when my DVD's going to get here (I finally broke down and got it on Amazon lol).

Hope everybody has a good weekend :)
